Understanding Singapore-UK Relations

Following the end of Britain's colonial power and Singapore's independence, Singapore and the United Kingdom have maintained a strong and long-standing relationship in a range of areas, including military defense, education, technology, and economics. Singapore is the United Kingdom's most important trading partner in Southeast Asia, accounting for two-thirds of all UK exports to the ASEAN region.

Singapore and the United Kingdom are currently reinforcing their long-standing commitment to maximizing collaboration in both bilateral and multilateral fora to advance our common interests and values.
