UK Foreign Secretary Rt Hon James Cleverly MP visit Singapore

On Thursday, 29 September 2022, the UK Foreign Secretary Rt Hon James Cleverly MP paid his first visit to the Republic of Singapore after being appointed to his current role. During the visit, the UK Foreign Secretary met with the Singaporean Prime Minister, Lee Hsien Loong, the Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, Lawrence Wong, and the Foreign Minister, Vivian Balakrishnan.


Both counterparts’ senior officials had discussed many areas including digital economy, trade, technology, environment, education, regional and global security, and development. Importantly, the UK Foreign Secretary also jointly with the Singapore Ministers to launched the new British International Investment (BII) Office and signed the new MOU Singapore and UK Third Country Training Programme.
