The First ASEAN-United Kingdom Ministerial Meeting (1st FMM-UK)

On August 04, 2022, the First ASEAN-United Kingdom Ministerial Meeting was held in Phnom Penh, Kingdom of Cambodia. The meeting marks the first official engagement of both sides' Foreign Ministers since the UK granted the status of the ASEAN Dialogue Partnership.

During the meeting, the Plan of Action to Implement the ASEAN-UK Dialogue Partnership (2022-2026) was adopted and focused on political, security, economic and global issues. In addition, the British Minister for Asia, the Rt Hon Amanda Milling MP, continued to hold bilateral meetings with each ASEAN member state's Foreign Minister to further discuss on the specific interests and cooperation in various fields.
