Meeting with the British Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia

On 22 May 2025, Mr. Chhuon Vanndasambath, General Coordinator, ASEAN-UK Young Leader Initiative had a meeting with Mr. Martin Darby, Executive Director of the British Chamber of Commerce (BritCham) Cambodia.


During the meeting, Mr. Vanndasambath and Mr. Darby engaged in exchange of views regarding the current state of the Cambodia-UK business and trade environment. They discussed various aspects that influence bilateral trade, including regulatory frameworks, market accessibility, and the opportunities that Cambodia presents to British investors. Mr. Darby shared his perspective on the potential for future development in Cambodia, emphasizing the country’s emerging market status and its attractiveness for UK businesses seeking new avenues for investment.


They acknowledged that raising awareness about business and trade among the youth is important for a new generation of entrepreneurs and leaders. Mr. Vanndasambath highlighted the need of engaging young individuals in meaningful ways, fostering their interest in business. He expressed a desire to collaborate with BritCham Cambodia, particularly in light of their upcoming 30th anniversary, which marks three decades of the organization’s presence in Cambodia since its establishment in 1995.
