Sharing Session on "Journey of Girl Takeover as the British Ambassador for A Day"

On Sunday, October 29, 2023, the ASEAN-UK Young Leaders Initiative, in supported by Plan International in Cambodia, hosted the Sharing Session on "My Journey as the Girl Takeover as the British Ambassador for a Day" and a thought-provoking Panel Discussion on Young Girls and Women in Leadership.

Our inspiring speaker, Ms. Nann Pechpheary, a Girl Takeover as the British Ambassador for a Day shared her remarkable experience as the British Ambassador, where she had the opportunity to engage with policymakers and amplifying the voices of women. She emphasized the importance of this opportunity as a catalyst for hope and role modeling for young girls in her community. Her story is a testament to the power of dreaming big and challenging societal norms.

During the panel discussion, our panellists Ms. Pechpheary and Ms. Leam Sinoun, Member of the United Nations Youth Advisory Panel (UNYAP) in Cambodia delivered powerful speeches, leaving us with invaluable takeaways. Their message to all young girls and women is clear: never give up, believe in yourself, and continuously strive for personal growth and educational excellence.
