On October 8, 2025, as part of the Girl Takes Over program with Ambassador Manich served as the British Ambassador for a Day, ASEAN-UK Young Leaders Initiative attended a Girl Takes Over Networking Reception, where we met many advocates and gender empowerment groups. Ambassador Manich's speech was very inspiring and motivating, encouraging young girls and women to dare to dream.
ASEAN-UK YLI is proud to be part of this networking reception, as we remain committed to promoting this program to celebrate International Day of the Girl. The Girl Takeover as the British Ambassador for a Day is a unique program designed to promote young girls in leadership through the partnership of the British Embassy in Cambodia and Plan International Cambodia.
ASEAN-UK YLI is proud to have participated in this program since its first year and continues to support youth diplomacy within the framework of ASEAN-UK relations and Cambodia-UK relations. We are happy and look forward to upcoming opportunities to work with Manich.
