ASEAN-UK YLI at the UK Deputy Head of Mission to Cambodia Handover Reception

On 30 July 2025, our General Coordinator attended the UK Deputy Head of Mission to Cambodia Handover Reception at the British Ambassador's Residence in Phnom Penh. Mr. Marc Julio Thayre is departing his role as Deputy Head of Mission for a new posting in London. Marc has been a key person in promoting active UK-Cambodia relations in various sectors for the last five years.

Marc was a spearhead for our project back in 2021 for our first engagement with the British Embassy in Phnom Penh. He graciously introduced us to his team and offered guidance for our flagship publication on Cambodia-UK at 70. Marc has consistently been a valued supporter of the ASEAN-UK Young Leaders Initiative. We sincerely thank him for his partnership and support, and we wish him and his family good luck and ongoing success in their future endeavours.
